About Us
AG Group of industries was established in the year 1980 by Mr. Arvind Deshpande – the chief architect of the group by laying the foundation of Engineering Products & Steerings (AG Steerings) - to manufacture steering gear box for tractors, light commercial vehicles, cars & three wheelers. AG Steerings acquired ARAI certification for its propriety design of worm and worm wheel type steering gear box in the same year and first batch of Steerings were delivered to Gujarat Tractors Ltd.
The company was felicitated with International Asia Award in Jakarta in 1983 and with International Europe Award in 1986 in Paris for pioneering work in development of low cost steering gear box and entrepreneurial activities. Today AG Steerings has its presence in 10 states across India and serves more than a dozen companies.
The next big step for the group was its association with Bajaj Auto Ltd and birth of Engineering Enterprises. The company was established in 1989 to manufacture and supply propeller shafts, master cylinders, flanges and axle shafts for all types of three wheelers manufactured by Bajaj Auto Ltd. In the year 2000 the group ventured into manufacturing of components for the ever growing two wheeler industry. AG Transmission was founded to manufacture front fork assembly for all varieties of Bajaj two wheelers and supply of front fork assembly was commenced to Endurance Technologies Pvt Ltd- A Bajaj Auto Ltd subsidary.
With ever growing demand for quality forging required to cater to demands of production within the group, AG Forge was established the year 2006. Today AG Forge caters to only the in house requirements within the group.
AG Group of Industries have also been associated with the reputed FIE group of Industries with Mr. Arvind Deshpande involved in FIE’s Ichalkaranji Metalloy Founders (IMF) -an established supplier of graded CI & CGI castings having an installed capacity of 400 MT / month.
With immense technological know-how and experience in all associated fields of manufacturing AG Group of Industries, along with the support of many FIE group companies like FIE Research Institute, has all the necessary Manufacturing Engineering support systems, design engineering expertise, casting and forging capabilities, heat treatment facility and machine building technology – making it a “Fully Integrated Manufacturing Company” with all the allied processes being in-house
